DAVID MARTIN
Founding Director
David grew up on a family farm in Northern Ireland prior to reading Maths at University of Oxford and training as a secondary school teacher. After a successful year teaching at The Barclay School in Stevenage, David moved into the IT industry, working for strategic partners on projects for Skills Funding Agency and Environment Agency amongst others, before moving into a caring role.
His late partner was an artist with Digswell Arts Trust at Fairlands Farm.
IVANO DE LEO

Ivano comes from Taranto, Puglia in Italy and moved to the UK in 2014. He gained experience of working within hospitality at The Savoy London, before relocating to Bristol in 2018, to pursue his dream of working as a Web Developer. When Ivano is not busy with web based projects, he volunteers with RNIB and Oxfam.
PRARTHNA SAHU
Recruitment advisor
Prarthna joined us while living in East London. She worked as an administrator for a prestigious primary school. before taking maternity leave. Previously she spent 4 years as a software developer.
While her husband works for a global IT contractor, Prarthna takes care of their young son, is studying new skills at college and enjoys baking.
LYU ALEXANDROVA
Nature therapist
Lyu has a passion for the great outdoors and all things garden. Although living in London for the past couple of years, to take a career break from Working for Hewlett Packard, she is now planning to return to the county and move to Hitchin, to be closer to the lavender fields.
As well as volunteering with us, she is working for the NHS developing AI solutions to enable the faster issue of outpatient correspondence by hospital consultants.
CURTIS BOARDMAN
He's from Wigan
Curtis is a mathematics and technology student at Durham University. An accomplished sportsman having won Gold in British Freestyle Wrestling Championships and completed the 3 Peaks Challenge as well as winning cups in Rugby Union and Men’s Rowing teams.
He assisted writing “Lancashire's Forgotten Heroes, 8th (Service) Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment in the Great War.” and is now hoping to discover to what extent it is possible to recreate the human brain in the form of circuitry.
OSARIMEN 'Fred' ISIBOR
Digital Security Consultant
Fred studies at Nottingham Trent University He already holds many degrees in finance and IT systems from the University of Benin and the University of Illinois. Now, however, he undertaking a master degree in digital security.
He enjoys playing chess and board games.
Friends of Fairlands Farm CIC is always on the lookout for people who would like to take an active role in the delivery of our project.
You may have an interest in gardening and horticulture, financial skills or experience in volunteer management.
Perhaps you have a talent that you would like some support and encouragement to develop and simply want to be part of a group that is doing something good.
